The Josef Müller-Brockmann Award for Young Designers 2019 goes to NINA PAIM (1986 Brazil, lives and works in Basel) and SIMON MAGER (1986 Germany, lives and works in Lausanne).

The winners will share the CHF 25,000 prize.

The jury unanimously and clearly selects Simon Mager and Nina Paim as co-winners of the Josef Müller-Brockmann Prize for Young Designers 2019. The jury recognizes their individual achievements as designers and enthusiastically highlights key aspects of both that embody different aspects of the prize: Nina Paim is recognized for her curatorial research, pedagogical exploration and performance or exhibition activations; Simon Mager for his translation of design research into modern typography and excellent use of graphic design.
